Here is our wonderful giant, CLIFFORD FV at MDA Ships Quarters Show, September 26, 2010. He is fully leased by Erica, because, apparently, she knows where to find his itchy spots!!! Clifford came into our life as a weanling, much by the luck of timing. I wanted to purchase Windsong FV from the Ortbergs and "Windy's" pasture mate was this un-named giant colt weanling. I just could not leave him by himself, so I made a package deal with the sellers and brought this big bay home with me, too. Since his arrival, Cliffy has become an immediate farm favorite and continues to amuse us. As Erica was returning home in the the truck, from this show, both Claudia and I expressed to her how impressed we have been with her dedication and care with Cliff. This Gentle Giant has improved Erica's riding so much, in just one year, from Erica's arrival to TM. And, most importantly, Erica has learned that if all else fails, just pat and reward your horse from the inside rein...hehe. Kudos to Claudia and Clifford for a great show (look for soon to be posted youtube of their fantastic ride) and to Erica for continually earning the "most improved rider" from TM. I cannot wait for these two to shine in 2011.
