The view from our resort was absolutely amazing. We were not used to seeing cactus growing out of beaches. But, we did have a chance to eat a local favorite -- cactus salad!
Another view from the resort. Here is Chuck taking photography of the waves hitting the stone formations.
As the edge of the resort was a steep rock cliff heading down to water, we spent most of our days in this HUGE infinity pool.....hard to tell where the pool ends and the Pacific Ocean begins, eh?
Everyday, there were a few pelicans that would come to the resort and amuse people......some of them would even get into the pool and swim around.
All of the rock formations are riddled with active crabs and their much slower companions, the salt water snails. There were millions of them....and, that is not an exaggeration. Chuck and I would head down to the beach and just hang out watching the crabs....very amusing.
After a swim in the pool, this guy decided to take a nap in the landscape.
We went into town several days -- a change of scenery was nice and the beaches were beautiful. I got a kick out of these small boats. There were some awesome boats in the Cabos Marina......
One day in town, we stopped by many local hangouts. I think we have a shirt from every place to prove that we were there. This day, Kendell and I ended our exploring at "Senior Frogs." Basically, the four of us were back to the resort and crashed by 7:30 pm...........
Here we are on a charter fishing boat heading out to sea at 6 am. Chuck loves to fish and Justin, Kendell and I were up for a new experience. However, I have to admit that 20ft waves and a much smaller boat then I anticipated was a bit of a shocker!!! Next time, I'll need a guarantee of calmer seas.....oh my!!!
Chuck and Justin caught many Yellow Fin Tuna...so, they were thrilled!!
All of us were anxious to take the fish to a local restaurant and eat it. Here is a picture of the freshest sushi that we have ever eaten....yum yum!!! The rest of the fish were frozen for us and we brought them back to Maryland for all of us to share.
While fishing, we passed by this local land mark -- The Natural Bridge at the very tip of the Baja Peninsula. The formations in Cabos are breathtaking.
