Please Enjoy The Next Few Postings -- A Recap Of Our Second FL Show -- The Sweetheart Cup, Feb 11-12, 2012

On Friday there was a lot of last minute packing to complete before our 10:00 am depart to the show grounds. So, Chuck (he is the one with the whip..haha) decided to manage some child labor. Here is Keagan helping to load the trailer with hay......

Andrew & Bambi were fair weather friends of Thornridge on Sat. They decided to hang out with the big winners of the day. Friends, Colleen and Jess, from VT, did a bang up job in Training Level the first day of the show. Congrats!!

But, by Sun, the rats returned to Thornridge as we, too, regained our winning grove by the second day of the show.

Thank You For All Of Your Help: Chuck, Cathy, Juliana and Gary were immensely helpful throughout the entire weekend. They made the show was a well oiled machine for Thornridge. Chuck did most of the packing, took over "bus driving duty," cleaned stalls, helped hand walk horses, and was our official photographer. Cathy was the eyes on the ground for all of the rides and she kept us all fed. Juliana was a super groom and has now officially caught the dressage bug -- next year we may be needing to groom for her!! And, Gary, was the official videographer, amongst many other things.

Please enjoy the next few postings of our experience at our second FL show. The photographs are really super and I tried to choose a few different shots then I tend to navigate toward. But, if you know me, I do hate parking lot shots...so, I apologize for the trailers in one of Suzanne's photos. Please note that the Thornridge Manor youtube site now has videos posted from the first show and the second show should be completed and posted soon. The most exciting part of this show is that I was finally able to ride in my new patent leather show boots. I ordered them in Aug '11 and they took 3 months longer to arrive then expected. To complicate things, they were accidentally shipped to MD rather then to my FL address...so, I had 5 days to break them in before competing in them...yikes! I had many compliments on the boots from other riders throughout the entire show....but, I wonder if they liked my boots or my wonderful mares the best?? All three were eye catching.
