VINCA & PHOEBE HAVE BEEN HITTING IT OFF!!!!
Bringing Vinca to FL came with a lot of unknowns. After all, Claudia has been his main
handler in MD. So, Vinca and I had to figure out a lot of things really fast. The first day after arriving he rested and by the second day, I must have hand walked him around the farm for miles. By the third day, he lunged and by the fourth day we rode. Everything is very open at this farm, and this marked our first ride outside the confines of the indoor arena at Thornridge. This arena is surrounded by turnout horses and there is a lot to look at. But, after a few mildly silly spells, Vinca got right down to business. Vinca and I have always hit it off under saddle together so it is a real pleasure being able to take care of him fully.....he is a very sweet stallion and he sure is a ladies man. After our rides, I let him hang out in the wash stall for about an hour while I clean up the days tack and generally put things away -- he thinks this extra time to watch me is just fabulous. Ahhh, the little things that keep a horse, with no turnout, amused!!! The warm weather is going to suit both of us and we are making huge progress together. I so look forward to getting off to a show with Mr V!!!!
